Educational Projects

Work from my university career at CU Denver; computer science, digital design, and human centered design courses.

When I began at CU Denver, I knew I wanted to go into computer science because I had a blast programming in the latter half of high school. I had some difficulty figuring out what I wanted to do during the first couple years. Once I added design to my skillset, however, I found that I have a passion for working in the space where engineering and design meet. Below are a few projects that exemplify that.

Wristy

A watch to help children with autism.

Award winning engineering project. Prototyped and iterated watch design using Adafruit hardware and CircuitPython.

Thrust: Runic Blades

First-person, movement based, puzzle game

Independent design project. Learned game design methodologies, then conceptualized and design proof of concept with game mechanics.

Woodland Walk

Immersive and explorable nature scene

Quickly learned Unreal Engine environment design to create scene using Unreal Engine Megascan assets. Expanded UE first person controller for more immersion.

Outreach

Reimagining 911 project

A prototype app to simplify emergency service access. UX/UI project created with Adobe XD, implementing Apple’s iOS material design and guidelines.

SpaceX Shooter

Satirical asteroid dodging Unity game.

Engineered game mechanics as a member of a small team for game development project, and led development efforts in Unity.
